Christmas Day!!!

Asher was ready for a nap and so was I. That is what drinking champagne in the morning does to me! Matt made an awesome breakfast and we had champagne and chambord. yummy!

"who" "who" - my new choo choo set. We have been working with him on trains and choo-choo the past month!

My new computer! Now, I really have to learn how to use my camera better. This computer from Apple is awesome when working with photographs. We decided it was time to get a home computer rather than always using business laptops. Thanks my love! And notice someone is getting a little tired there.
Wow, a new activity table from PaPa and Lisa
A new trinket for me! It is gorgeous but unfortunately I have not worn it yet because it came off my wrist 4 times that morning opening presents. I am afraid I am going to lose it. We are going to see if they can install a safety latch or chain or something.

my new dump truck from PaPa & Lisa

Sitting on the box, as usual!
Matt's new jacket for Christmas

Emerson got quite a few new toys since almost all of his have been destroyed through the years.
My new train set. Thanks Aunt Jacqui for my racing set!
I love my new chair! The boy likes to watch a little TV!
We had a great time and are truly blessed in so many ways. It was an awesome year to have a young one in the house even though he did not get the entire Christmas thing.
To our family - we love you and big hugs and kisses to the ones back in TX.

Christmas Eve at Mike & Janet's

No, Asher - those are my BABY Dolls!!
Asher's soccer goal from Aleah.

Aleah with her new baby dolls!
Aleah will show you how it is done.
And here we are sitting on box!
Aleah hamming it up and hiding behind a sweater that Janet gave to one of her girlfriends. It was really quite funny.
Asher decided he might help. Unfortunately, Aleah did not teach Asher well enough how to rip the paper. He got into it a bit but had a lot more fun climbing on the boxes although he is enjoying his toys more every day
Aleah opening one of her presents. This one was really more for the parents!

My first hair cut 12_23_09

Finished Product! Ma Ma - Get me out of this chair!
I did not scream but I can't say I was too excited about it and I took him to a place where he could sit in a car while they cut his hair. It was literally drive by cutting and this lady was quick!
Why are you touching my head?
Here is my hair before the hair cut. P.S. Daddy liked my hair before the hair cut but it would drive my Ma Ma crazy with it flipping out over my ears as the day went on.

Our first snow of the season

We got around 6 inches. It was beautiful and we still were able to have the holiday party at our place on Saturday the 19th. They do such a good job clearing off the roads here. I won't say all the roads were good but most of them were and it snowed most of the day.

Playing with Mardi Gras beads

Uh, wait. I don't think it is supposed to be on my ear.

Matt had a ton of beads in a drawer downstairs and when I moved my office down to the basement I threw most of them away. However, I left a few around for Asher to play with for a bit and he had quite a good time practicing putting them over his head and pulling them off....eventually.

Getting ready for santa with Da Da

Don't you just want to eat him up? So cute.

Mely's christmas present

Mely is hte person who watches Asher during the week. she knows he loves to dance and so for Christmas she got him a music player that she loaded all his favorite nursery rhymes on it. I would never have even thought of it. Here is a picture and a video of him dancing to his music.

Helping mommy with the lights on the tree or "ee" "ee"

No mommy! I can do it myself!

Asher is at that age where he can say quite a few words but most of them are only recognizable by his parents. Tree is "ee" "ee" and Airplane is "ah" and so is lawnmower. He can make quite a few animal noises but we still are not saying the words except for duck, dog, horse. horse is "hoor" or something of that nature or he says "neh". He has busted out with a few correct words like step and five the past week when I was working with him in his books or whatever. I predict it won't be too long before he is saying real words more frequently. He took me by surprise on those and then shortly after he actually said "step" we were back to sep, sep, sep, etc.

Visiting with the Chappels

Playing with Hudson. Notice Hudson running behind him.
Could he be any cuter, my godson? Hudson was a gracious host and thoroughly enjoyed not being the youngest. Asher was totally enamoured by Hudson and followed him around the house.
Love these fabulous girls

Visit with Lori & Dylan

Lori & Dylan were kind enough to come by for a visit. It was so great to see them even though it was so short. Asher was badly in need of a nap!

Papa & Lisa

Jake & Bella

Bella giving the camera some love. she does turn it on for the camera.
I just loved this picture of brother and sister.

Thanksgiving 2009

Jake, Ryleigh & Bella playing and having a ton of fun
Putting the hat on uncle cody's head. He would grunt until you bent over and let him put the hat on your head.
Ben & Tiffany before Brayden was born.
Hey, everyone is looking at me!
Papa and Grandmother Shirley
What are those crazy girls doing?
So, funny story about Ms. Ryleigh - Bella is normally pretty easy going and just does what Ryleigh wants her to do but as she is getting a little older - sometimes she does not always cooperate. Ryleigh was telling Bella to go down the hallway and not the playroom when they were on the tricycles and Bella decided not to cooperate and went into the playroom. From behind her I hear Ryleigh say in a very teacher like voice "Bella go into the playroom". I was laughing as I wondered out of the room. There is no doubt that Ryleigh will make a very independent adult.
Here is Ryleigh telling me she is going to shoot my camera because she did not want me taking any more pictures. She was cracking me up throughout the evening actually. She is quite the dominate personality - this one.

Ryleigh and Bella playing together. Here Ryleigh was cooperative when I was taking her picture. Bella loves to have her picture taken and Ryleigh is not really as fond of the camera which you will see in the next picture.

Here is his cousin Bella. isn't she beautiful and so very sweet. She was willing and able to help take care of or at least keep an eye on Asher at any time. She loves babies.
Playing with Uncle Cody in the spinning chair
Picture with Aunt Pat before we left. He decided to cooperate on Thanksgiving!
Yes, there was a bounce house on Thanksgiving. Pat blew it up and Asher bounced a few times. He seem to enjoy himself a lot.
Playing football with his cousin, Jake. Jake was awesome to let Asher play with his football for a few throws.
No, that is not a horse - just my mom's dog, Mutly. He is a pretty great dane but boy is he a BIG dog. My mother could not be any prouder!
Playing with Papa
Happy boy with Grannie at Aunt Pat's house.
