Weather Today

Here is the view from my office a few short hours ago. Today matt's office is closed and so I had the nanny stay home as well. They can handle snow here but no one wants to drive in the icy stuff which is smart. Any way, this morning we had a bunch of sleet and it turned to the snow you see coming down this afternoon. I think we are supposed to get some more this afternoon. Thank goodness I made hte agreement with Matt before moving up here that I was NOT shoveling snow. HE actually loves to get out there in the morning and do it. Uh, not me. I am sure there will come a time but for now.... I have avoided it.

Oh, and I have learned there are different types of snow...puffy, more wet snow and the dry snow. The puffy, wet snow results in sticking to the trees and making it really beautiful. That typically happens when it is close to or slightly above freezing. We had about 1.5 hours of the puffy stuff today. I hear TX had some bad weather yesterday though.

a little video from asher

sometimes it is fun to see the little ones live. sorry if it is off center but videoing and trying to talk to him just results in the above. this is especially for the folks out of town.

Just getting started

My girlfriend, Jacqui, has been on me to start a blog to post pictures of Asher and just to general keep in touch with people. She has done it with her family in Dallas and I just love going out there to check and keep up to date with what is going on with the Chappells and my godson, Hudson. It is so fun to get little glimpses of their personality and what they are up to from afar. Being we just relocated ourselves and have friends and family spread out across the country, I figured I would copy her on this Sunday morning when Asher is asleep and I should be too given the week last week but I already drank some coffee so I am not sleepy. Caffeine, yummy.

I reference the week last week and that all has to do with starting back to work. It was a stressful week for me to say the least and I really missed watching my boy play. I am going to have to do something different going forward so I will be discussing it with work this week. I am thinking part time and they already told me it was an option when I returned. I just can't stand to have someone else give me a "report" of all the new things he is learning every day!
