Merry Christmas

Later in the morning - Mommy is playing with the blower too.
A little Christmas treat left in Asher's stocking by Santa. Yes, he has a bruise on his forehead that he got a school earlier in the week. A girl took him head first into the lockers (cubbies) when she fell while they were holding hands dancing. It did not really bother him too much but he had a pretty good knot on his head when I picked him up.

Some awesome new black boots for mommy.
He loved, loved, loved his chainsaw and blower.
He got a new drum set from Santa which he loves. It was a rather musical theme for Christmas and he already knew what the bass drum and cymbal were on his drum set from watching Fresh Beats. He got a small piano from his pa pa and Lisa which allows us to 'jam' together while he plays his drums. The drums will be moved next week upstairs to the playroom so we don't have to play them at 7 AM! :)

Christmas was exciting this year as it always is but it was even more so seen through the eyes of a two year old who was first learning about Santa. Asher's and Matt's favorite Christmas show was the Disney Prep and Landing special about the elf and santa. He watched almost nightly before taking his bath for about 2 weeks before Christmas. It was part of his daddy time. While we had the "elf on the shelf" out this year - he was still learning all about what it meant. I am confident he will remember next year when the time rolls around. I can't believe that it is almost 2011 but I can't say I am not ready - that means one day closer to Asher's baby brother or sister coming! Happy New Year All!

Couple precious stories

We had a play date earlier this week with Asher's friend, Rene and a little girl named Claire. Rene is Asher's age and Claire is about 6 months younger. We were at Chik Fil A in the play area and Claire was tired because it was nap time for all the kids. She did not want any of the other kids on the steps going up to the slide and play area and would scream any time one of them was on her step. Asher proceeded to lay down next to her on the step above so his head was closer to hers and tell her as he tapped her back lightly "it's ok, my little buddy". "you alright". It was so cute. He is such a sweet, caring, happy little boy.

I don't know where the "little buddy" phrase has come from but he also walked in this morning saying morning little buddies. I think he was talking to his stuffed animals. Monkey and Doggie are his favs and he sleeps with those.

The next one I want to log is from school which he loves and just this week has started singing the songs he is learning there at home. I was picking him up yesterday and he was telling everyone bye and he said to his friends - bye bye best friends. I don't know to which kid he was talking or who has used the term best friends because I not yet but it was very sweet to say the least.
