Merry Christmas!

A little present from Santa for daddy! Disposable flasks. Oh, and the outfit matt is wearing is.... well, let me explain. We went to a pajama party and we bought these adult one piece PJ's. This was the "ugly sweater" pattern and they were ugly but daddy put them on first thing on Christmas morning. He said they were really comfortable!

Who is that masked super hero?
Santa brought Asher a new balance bike and fishing pole. Quinn got a new chair and a thingy he would walk with and roll that he loves. That santa sure is smart.
These were some pics we took before Christmas when I took the boys to get their picture made with Santa. Asher actually sat on Santa's lap this year to tell him he wanted a fishing pole and Quinn did not cry. It was only because Quinn was sitting on Santa's lap and not crying that Asher decided he would too! Well, and because he really wanted a new fishing pole. Daddy will be taking that boy fishing next year!

Loving our new blankets!

Grandma Lisa and Paw Paw sent some new blankets and the boys love them. And I added a pick of Asher playing with his fishing pole too! We love you guys!

Look who's walking! Merry Christmas to us!

Quinn has finally decided to take this walking thing a little more seriously! I hope you enjoy the video! I can't wait to post some of him chasing his big brother around.

Two more teeth

Quinn has 6 teeth now. he just cut another top two and I need to log it since I have not yet! :)

He is walking more and more every day. He is taking about 10-12 steps at least 3-4 times a day and letting go between things for just a few steps every day.It is only a matter of time before he gets really motivated. He seems to do it for a bit and then do just fine with crawling whereas Asher was on the move as soon as he took those first steps. Don't get me wrong, Quinn has no problem getting on stuff. found him just this morning on Asher's drawing table that he used the small chairs to make his way up. Lord help me with these two boys who are nonstop! I love it though.

Happy 1st Birthday Aidan

We celebrated Aidan's first birthday last weekend and he had a great time! He is such a sweet and happy boy. I can't wait for him and Quinn to start playing together more. Next year, it will be a different story! :)

Quinn Dancing 2

He loves to dance like his brother did! He gets shaking while sitting just like in the video.

He is very close to walking these days but seems more interested in just crawling to get there. He has taken a few steps on several occasions but has not quite become determined enough to actual try to walk without motivation like a remote yet. I expect it will happen any day because just about every day he lets go of something and walks 2-3 steps to get somewhere else.

Quinny dancing

Here are a couple of videos of Quinn dancing. Turn your head since they are going sideways. A mom only has so much time to get this stuff done! :)

Asher is three!

We had Asher's birthday party at the Little Gym and here was the group of kids who joined us. There are his cousins, Aleah & Brie, along with some friends we play with regularly - Gigi, Carmina, Rene and Peyton. He even had his best buddy from preschool, Evan join him. He had a great time to say the least as did all the kids.

He had to have Uncle Adam sit next to him during the circle time. Adam was trying to lay low but Asher would have none of it. He sure does love his uncle Adam who plays "boy" stuff with him when he gets the chance!

All he wanted for his birthday was an excavator and an excavator cake. He has like 3 excavators! :)

Too sweet not to share!

Asher has had a handful of days thus far where he has gone without a nap. I know the days are numbered as far as nap time goes but quiet time is a different story. This was a day where he went without a nap and passed out on the couch next to Emerson around 7:30 which is super early for him. It was too sweet not to snap a picture.

Dragons! Roar!

I found Asher's costume a bit earlier and for a good price. I was glad he was excited about being a dragon because he is getting to that age where he will have an opinion. I think this is officially the last year I get to pick for him! After getting Asher's, it then occurred to me that most people pair the kids costumes. Whoops! Did not think of that when I got it so Quinn got to be a dragon as well because they don't make knight baby costumes. The costume is awesome and so we have the bigger, stronger dragon and the baby dragon as I told Asher.

The reason Asher is the "bigger, stronger" Dragon is because he is constantly telling me that he is a bigger, stronger boy and he can do XYZ now all on his own including cooking with fire, using knives and all kinds of things....some completely appropriate and others.... well, I think not. It is quite cute though nonetheless to hear him say it!

It is long overdue! He is motoring about everywhere and even climbed the stairs this past week. Here is a little video that I managed to catch last month.

Big Week for the boys!

Quinn had a huge week last week. He started crawling. Yes, you already knew this. He also got his first tooth and started babbling up a storm. We had not really heard any da da's or ma ma sounds coming from him and he just decided he would start forming some consonants all in the same week. We heard both da and ma sounds along with some L's and a few others. He was just saving them up, I guess.

Asher started pre-school today and he is such a big and independent boy. He is very into doing everything himself. They moved him up a little early (before his 3rd birthday) because he is already potty trained. Well, mostly! We are still working on pooping in the potty. He was excited about his new class when we went to school and was already playing and ready for me to leave by the time I was walking out. I am so happy we have him in a school a few hours twice a week. He is thriving there and it is just enough of a balance to get him acclimated with other kids and being more independent.

Well, just wanted to give a quick update about the boys. I will post some video of Quinn crawling and his new tooth soon!

Family photos - June 2011

We got the whole curry clan together and tried to get some fun pictures. THis was my favorite. Asher was trying to kiss pop pop's head but I think Matt & Adam thought he was trying to bite him. It was very funny.
We tried to get a cute pic of all the kids but alas they were all tired and not really interested in being photographed but their personalities came out nonetheless.

Quinn started crawling today

Just had to post it so it will make it into the book I still plan on making at the end of this year. He is 7 months 2 weeks old today. That is right about the same time as his brother. He is certainly a very active boy and loves playing with his older brother.

Beach Vacation - Amusement park

You can kind of see the knot on Asher's head. He was trying very hard to make his horse rock back and forth and in the process knocked his head quite hard. He recovered pretty quickly for the the size of the knot it left.

Asher loves to ride the rides and we will have fun on some roller coasters when he gets older because mommy loves them too!

Ocean City Beach - August 2011

Asher and Aleah loved to have their daddy's find sand crabs and they were collecting them. It was amazing how many of them there were right beneath were we were sitting!
The boys were not much in the mood for pictures when the camera was out. It was the best we could do with one ready for a nap and the other just waking from his nap on the beach!

He loved the sand!

Asher did not have a hood on his shirt so he made his own. Someone referred to him as Cornholio from Beavis and Butthead. Rather funny!

Quinn was 7 months and Asher was almost three years old. Quinn is definitely my natural water baby. He loved the water and sand even after he ate it a few times. Asher was much more comfortable but in his typical fashion it took a few hours for him to warm up to the water. Every year though it takes less and less time for him to jump right on in. We enjoyed ourselves.
