Williamsburg - visiting John & Carol

We visited Williamsburg for a couple of days before we headed to the beach. We saw a lot of history. They live minutes from Jamestown, Yorkstown and of course...Williamsburg. We ate great food and Asher tried Bologna for the first time too! He loved it. Carol & John rolled out the red carpet for us while we were in town and fortunately borrowed a few toy trucks that were a big hit with him while we were there. Thanks again!

Walking, walking, walking

Here is a video of Asher walking in a little grassy area where they had a band playing. There were a bunch of kids running around and I think he was very motivated to run and play with them. Virginia beach was awesome and very kid friendly. He was even practicing standing up by himself which I happened to catch on this video.

First Steps!!!

Today, Asher took his first 4 steps when i was tempting him with a small flashlight he wanted. This was followed by numerous other 2-3 step temptations throughout the evening. We met some people in a restaurant where I spent the majority of time walking around with Asher b/c he pretty much just wants to walk. Video will be coming soon but it may be from the beach. We leave for vacation this Saturday and I can't wait. We are staying 2 nights in Williamsburg, VA with Matt's Aunt/Uncle and then headed to Virginia Beach, VA. I can't wait to take him out on the beach. He loves being outside like all kids. It should be fun. Hopefully, I will post some video of him walking before we leave!! I know....he is going to be into everything but he already is.....every drawer, every cabinet and he is starting to climb on things.....So it begins.

Couple of new things from Asher

So, Asher just started mimicking a bit of things here and there. Two nights ago we were in a restaurant and he was blowing kisses to the woman at the table next to us. I have to believe they started it b/c I have not taught him such a thing. Not that I wouldn't. Mely (who watches Asher during the day) was asking him to show him his teeth and exaggerating showing her teeth to Asher. He does this back making the cutest little face. He curls up his lips and breaths in/out fast like Mely was doing showing his teeth. He just had two more break through this week. He still has 2 more on the other side working their way through. it seems he is getting both is top and bottom incisors at the same time. I will try to snap a photo of the "teeth showing" face. It is really quite funny.
