my first plane ride!!

well, technically the second b/c this was the trip home from Dallas. please ignore my face....I. was. exhausted. after our 5 days in Dallas. Asher did great on the plane ride. He cried for about 5 minutes on the way to Dallas on our descent. He refused to eat but he finally submitted and his little ears were great. So, we are probably going to make another visit in May because Matt will be there for work for a week before the boy can walk and won't want to sit on an airplane for 2.5 hours.

Happy Birthday Sweetest Baboo, Daddy!

Today is Matt's birthday! We are set to have some yummy brunch food with his family later and I am going to be making some breakfast here soon. It is supposed to be 57 and sunny today which feels warmer than in TX with the sunshine. Perfect day. Happy Birthday, my love. We love you bunches.
PS. sorry about that flash ....eventually I need to learn photoshop to get rid of that stuff.

Visiting the Chappell's

Jon Owen acting like a spy when we first arrived. I had fun trying to catch his eyes peering out over the furniture before he slid behind something again. I finally caught those gorgeous brown eyes!
all the kids together and Kennedy was so good considering she did not get a nap that day. I imagine she crashed on her way home and took a good nap.
Scott Smeltz agreed to be Asher's godfather! Asher is blessed to have such wonderful people and parents to be his godparent's.
Jacqui agreed to be Asher's godmother!

We were fortunate enough to be able to see Jacqui, Jay, Hudson, Jon Owen and Lauren on Sunday afternoon and Scott, toni & Kennedy joined us. It was a wonderful afternoon and Jacqui made some green hatch chili stew and enchiladas. The stew (which she toned down the spice on) was still way to spicy for me but the enchiladas rocked. Everyone loved, loved, loved the stew too. The kids played and we got a chance to catch up. It was great to see friends because we have started to miss them in PA. Lauren put on her best dress at 6 AM that morning which Jacqui made her take off until it got closer to time for our visit. She looked beautiful as always and Jon Owen was the sweetest coming over to hug Asher about every 30 minutes. Hudson, who is two, was saying baby Ash-ow and is Twoooo! I'm twoooo he would say every time you asked him hold old he was. I hope Jacqui gets a video of it. And miss Kennedy was having fun entertaining herself with all the new toys at the Chappell house. She is a very independent thing for an only child. it was a perfect afternoon and the nicest day of our whole trip!

My cousin Ryleigh....what spunk that girl has!!

Visiting Grannie!!

Asher loved seeing his Grannie and she was most gracious to meet us out a couple of times. She looks beautiful, as always! wouldn't you know that during our vist the weather in PA was prettier and warmer than Dallas!! it was starting to look very much like spring though so that was nice.

Congratulations Papa & Lisa

We were in Dallas this past weekend and my dad got married. It was a lovely ceremony at their house and a great party afterward. I think it was just what they wanted. Here are a few pictures from the wedding. Congrats Papa. We are lucky to have Lisa - she loves to spoil the grandkids as much as any of them will let them.

my cousin Bella

Bella is almost 3 and loves, loves, loves babies. She wanted to pick Asher up off the ground and carry him around. I had her settle for some pictures instead which she was very willing to oblidge. Every time she heard me focus the camera on here....she flashed a smile and was ready for that picture. It was very cute.

Visit with the Bennett's

Alan, Sarah, Connor, Maddie and Grace were in town for a visit up to PA and we had the pleasure of seeing them all last night. The bennett kids are great visitors and we had a wonderful time catching up wtih friends upon our return from Dallas. we are lucky because Alan has to visit regularly for business and they just purchased a condo here so the kids and Sarah could join him this summer too!

Of course, you can expect a lot more pictures to be posted soon from the Dallas visit. Lots of fun things happening in the curry household these days.

I can sit all by myself....for a few seconds

Asher can sit up all by himself at a little over 5 months...the little milestones are fun, fun, fun to watch. It is amazing how quickly it goes. I can't believe it has already been 5 months. We are really looking forward to spring and getting out and about more soon.

A little taste of spring

this weekend was beautiful in pittsburgh. It was a lovely glimpse of spring and we made the most of it. Yesterday, we wondered around with Asher in the stroller most of the day near downtown. He loved it and today we went for a walk in our neighborhood. I know it will still get cold again but being the week started with lows around 8 degrees. it finished off gloriously around 72 yesterday and sunny.

Bouncing Fool

Asher loves to bounce in his bouncer these days. we are going to have to change the setting soon so his feet don't touch as well b/c he is making the thing bounce off the floor some days! Enjoy. He is also starting to make some fun sounds. I caught a few in this video....
