Halloween at the Curry's

Here you can see the chair and a glimpse of the ice chest. It was a very nice evening for PA this Halloween. Fall has been glorious here this year.

This year (like last year) Matt decided the adults also needed treats for Halloween. However, unlike last year and forcing the weary adults to climb the hill (steps) to our house, he moved his treats closer to the street for both the kids and adults. here are a few pictures from his setup for the evening. You will notice he had the pumpkins and such. I also included a few pictures of Asher & I starting out to hit a few houses. He was more interested in chasing the bigger kids than anything else, of course.

more dance video

Pink Floyd was on in the background. He is working on trying to jump a little but hasn't quite figured out how to get those feet off the ground.

This is a little video to a song that goes - with my foot I tap, tap, tap and with my hands I clap, clap, clap - round and round again. He normally does the foot tap, clapping and round and round but you know they never perform on queue. You get to see a little at the beginning.

What kind of mischief can i get into today?

I want whatever is on that counter so bad and I can reach the edge of it!!!!

Climbing under the stools in the kitchen. Most of the time I can get myself out but sometimes I get stuck. Hep. Hep. Hep.
I emptied this drawer that has my DVD's in it and then proceeded to crawl in it one evening. The mischief level increases the more tired I get!

Bye, bye bottles!

Last week Asher had his last bottle. He made the transition very well. It helps that he really likes how milk tastes! The day he had his very last bottle......I had given him his bath and we were headed downstairs. He was tired and being fussy. So, I said - do you want your bottle? I rarely said this to him and just waited for him to see it. He screamed a very long BAAAAAAAA.....I could not help laugh thinking....good call out for the last one you will get.

I would like to believe this smooth transition is because of my excellent parenting skills but I realize it has much more to do with the fact that Asher is an easy baby...sigh...toddler. At least for a few more months until the independence grows!

The turkey's done growd up!

Grandmother Shirley here are the turkeys. They are not babies any more. Sorry it took me a while to finally post this picture. Enjoy.

Pumpkin Festival

There are many farms around near where we live. There is one in particular that does a great pumpkin festival complete with Bounce houses, petting zoos, funnel cake, pumpkins, hayrides.... you get the picture. Today we took Asher out to get some pictures of him with some pumpkins. He had more fun try to walk on the gravel paths they had set up and picking up rocks but it was a nice cool fall day.

Our Little Pirate

He loved this climbing wall. Of course, I had to help him up it.
This is Asher with his little buddy Rene. They met through the Little Gym and his parents live about 10 minutes from us. We try to get together every few weeks to play. she is 1 month younger than Asher.
Checking out Elmo.
So Darn Cute!

Grannie's visit

Giving Grannie some kisses.

Out at Falling Water. Frank Lloyd Wright's house about 2 hours from our place. That is the home above that water fall in the background.
I am a little late in posting these. Grannie came up for a visit over his birthday weekend.

Dance, Dance, Dance

Asher loves to dance and this shows just a few of his moves. He cracks me up when he starts shaking his head back and forth like the video and trying to move around in circles. I will try to catch some better video in the next week. It is hysterical to watch him. The person who watches him during the week has played the same CD for him when they go up to the playroom for months and months. He has all kinds of moves when he recognizes songs. He is growing up so fast!
