So, funny story about Ms. Ryleigh - Bella is normally pretty easy going and just does what Ryleigh wants her to do but as she is getting a little older - sometimes she does not always cooperate. Ryleigh was telling Bella to go down the hallway and not the playroom when they were on the tricycles and Bella decided not to cooperate and went into the playroom. From behind her I hear Ryleigh say in a very teacher like voice "Bella go into the playroom". I was laughing as I wondered out of the room. There is no doubt that Ryleigh will make a very independent adult.
Here is Ryleigh telling me she is going to shoot my camera because she did not want me taking any more pictures. She was cracking me up throughout the evening actually. She is quite the dominate personality - this one.

Ryleigh and Bella playing together. Here Ryleigh was cooperative when I was taking her picture. Bella loves to have her picture taken and Ryleigh is not really as fond of the camera which you will see in the next picture.

Here is his cousin Bella. isn't she beautiful and so very sweet. She was willing and able to help take care of or at least keep an eye on Asher at any time. She loves babies.

Yes, there was a bounce house on Thanksgiving. Pat blew it up and Asher bounced a few times. He seem to enjoy himself a lot.

No, that is not a horse - just my mom's dog, Mutly. He is a pretty great dane but boy is he a BIG dog. My mother could not be any prouder!

Asher doesn't necessarily like to wear hats but he is fascinated with putting them on other people. here he is putting Grannie's hat on grandmother.
Graham eating the icing off of a gingerbread house that Michelle brought for the kids to assemble. it was quite messy but they had fun.
the vacuum had a piece that could be detached and turned on. Asher had an infatuation with it but it still scared him. He wanted it turned on just not with him touching it! Grandmother was helping him turn it back on again.
he loved this vacuum. he played with it almost the entire time we were at Aunt Pat's.

I was so glad that Grandmother Schroeder agreed to come to Dallas for a visit while we were in town. it was great to see her and I know sitting in the car for a few hours is not as easy on her any more but we were super grateful to see her and my cousins. Thanks Michelle.

Ryleigh was very excited to have Asher over to her house when we arrived in Dallas. She had fun sharing her toys with him (for the most part) and Asher was enamoured with his older cousin. Ben & Tiffany were gracious enough to make us a fantastic dinner and they have a beautiful home with a park within their subdivision which is awesome!

Daddy's Shoes

All kids love putting on their parents shoes! It is one of Asher's favorite past times these last few weeks.

I am woefully behind on posting any blogs so I am going to bombard you will a lot of information that I have neglected to post in the past 6 weeks. the holidays have me seriously behind and since you can print these off into books now - I plan on doing this on a yearly basis so we can have the stories to pass on to Asher posted here.

Here is big sis Ryleigh with her baby brother, Brayden, born 12/21/09 at 4:59 PM. Way to go Ben & Tiffany. I can't wait to hold him and give him kisses too.

Dead Celebrity

Matt was told to dress up at work like a dead celebrity -so he chose Andy Warhol since he is from Pittsburgh. He found somewhere online to turn Asher's picture into a Warhol like painting which he ironed on the back of his shirt. - As luck would have it, he ended up having to meet with someone running for governor in PA that day that was in there office. You think he took him seriously?
